Interstate Waste Services Acquires Filco Carting Corp.

Interstate Waste Services, Inc. (IWS) has acquired Filco Carting Corp., a long-standing New York City waste hauler now headquartered in Closter, New Jersey. IWS will integrate Filco's commercial and residential collection services, municipal contracts, nearly 40 fleet vehicles and more than 100 employees to strengthen CWZ preparedness across NYC and expand its footprint in New Jersey.

The deal adds more than 50 collection vehicles and about 40 routes, nearly doubling IWS’ presence in upstate New York; Marangi CEO Mike Marangi will remain with the business post-closing.
