The combined company will create an end-to-end, cloud-first scientific research platform aimed at improving lab efficiency and accelerating discovery across pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, chemicals and materials industries.

Siemens AG has completed the acquisition of Dotmatics, a Boston-based life sciences R&D software provider and portfolio company of Insight Partners, for an enterprise value of $5.1 billion. Dotmatics will join Siemens' Digital Industries Software business to expand the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio into Life Sciences, adding over $300 million in revenue and enabling AI-powered end-to-end scientific R&D workflows.

The deal — the 13th acquisition for Dotmatics — will keep M-Star as a standalone business within Dotmatics and aims to accelerate product capabilities and market reach for modeling fluid dynamics in life sciences and industrial applications.

WCG Acquires VeraSci

VeraSci will operate as WCG VeraSci and remain headquartered in North Carolina while retaining its leadership team.
