Abbott Acquires Bigfoot Biomedical

Abbott has entered a definitive agreement to acquire Bigfoot Biomedical, a developer of smart insulin management systems that integrate continuous glucose monitoring with connected insulin pen caps and a cloud-based provider portal. The acquisition will combine Abbott’s FreeStyle Libre CGM technology with Bigfoot’s dosing-capable pen cap platform to further develop personalized, connected diabetes care solutions; the deal is expected to close in Q3 2023 and financial terms were not disclosed.

AGC Inc. Acquires Park Electrochemical's Electronics Business

AGC Inc. (Tokyo) has agreed to acquire the electronics business of US-based Park Electrochemical Corp. for about ¥16 billion. The deal transfers Park's CCL and related printed-circuit materials operations (with manufacturing in the US, Singapore and France) to AGC to strengthen its high-end materials and next-generation high-speed communications product portfolio; Park will retain its aerospace business and remain a US public company.

Alliance Consumer Group Acquires HALO Operating Unit from ZAGG Inc.

ACG will relocate HALO corporate operations from Salt Lake City, Utah to its Fort Worth, Texas headquarters while retaining HALO regional operations in Hartford, Connecticut; the deal expands ACG's consumer portable power capability and complements its existing outdoor and lifestyle brands.
