(HIES), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., has acquired Telesis Technologies, Inc., a U.S.-based manufacturer of laser and dot-peen marking equipment. The acquisition expands HIES's marking and coding product portfolio and gives Hitachi access to Telesis's AI-enabled vision, laser marking technologies, and global service channels to accelerate growth in coding and marking markets.

22nd Century Technologies Acquires BT Federal

22nd Century Technologies has acquired BT Federal, BT's U.S. government contracting subsidiary, from BT to form a new operating unit branded 22nd Century Networks. The deal expands 22nd Century's managed network and telecommunications capabilities nationwide to support U.S. federal missions; BT said the sale is part of a portfolio simplification and refocus on UK-centric operations. The transaction was cleared by the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.
