Symphony RetailAI has acquired ReTech Labs, a SaaS provider of real-time shelf image capture and computer-vision recognition technology, to integrate ReTech's Rebotics into its Customer INsights and Decision Engine (CINDE). The acquisition creates an AI- and cloud-based closed-loop category planning and shelf intelligence solution for retailers and CPG manufacturers; ReTech will operate as an independent division led by founder Abhi Beniwal.

AAR CORP. Acquires Aerostrat

AAR CORP. has acquired Seattle-based Aerostrat, a long-range aviation maintenance planning software provider, for $15 million plus contingent consideration of up to $5 million. The deal brings Aerostrat's Aerros product into AAR's Trax suite to expand Trax's ERP and long-range planning capabilities and continue to offer Aerros as a standalone solution to airlines, MROs, and cargo operators.

Sewtec — a bespoke automation design and manufacturing business based in Wakefield, UK with over 170 employees — will join AIR's portfolio alongside TA Systems and Modular Automation to expand AIR's global automation capabilities.

Daimler Trucks Acquires Majority Stake in Torc Robotics

Daimler Trucks (via Daimler Trucks and Buses Holding Inc., a subsidiary of Daimler AG) agreed to acquire a majority stake in Torc Robotics to accelerate commercialization of SAE Level 4 automated trucks. Torc will remain a separate entity in Blacksburg, Virginia, continue developing its Asimov self-driving software and work closely with Daimler's R&D teams in Portland and globally.
