Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation Acquires RE2, Inc.

Sarcos Technology and Robotics Corporation (NASDAQ: STRC) completed the acquisition of Pittsburgh-based RE2, Inc., a developer of autonomous and teleoperated mobile robotic systems, for $100 million ( $30 million cash and 14 million shares). The deal expands Sarcos' product lineup (adding RE2's Sapien robotic arms, Detect computer vision, and Intellect autonomy software), brings a Pittsburgh engineering location, and broadens end-market exposure across aviation, construction, defense, energy and medical sectors.
