Vaisala Corporation has acquired the WeatherDesk business assets from US-based Maxar Intelligence for USD 70 million to accelerate growth of its Xweather unit and expand AI-led weather forecasting capabilities. The deal, financed mainly with interest-bearing debt, transfers 34 professionals to Vaisala; WeatherDesk reported USD 13 million in recurring net sales in 2023.

HEALWELL AI to Acquire VeroSource Solutions

HEALWELL AI Inc. has agreed to acquire VeroSource Solutions Inc. for total consideration of approximately $24.5 million in a two-step transaction (initial ~51% on July 1, 2024 and remaining ~49% expected about January 1, 2025), payable in cash, HEALWELL subordinate voting shares and a performance-based earn-out. VeroSource, a Canadian health-data interoperability and digital-front-door platform serving provincial health clients, is expected to generate over $8 million in 2024 with strong recurring revenue and margins and will expand HEALWELL's population-health and AI-driven capabilities.

The deal integrates Clairifi's end-to-end ESG reporting capabilities into Validere's commodity and emissions data platform to strengthen regulatory reporting, forecasting and compliance offerings for energy-sector customers.

ClimateTrade Acquires TeamClimate (ReGreen GmbH)

The deal enables ClimateTrade to offer subscription-based carbon offsetting directly to individuals (in addition to companies) and strengthens its footprint in the German-speaking market while supporting its U.S. expansion.

Sortera Group Acquires Vaihtolava

Sortera Group has acquired Vaihtolava, a Finnish logistics and construction-materials sorting company, establishing a substantial platform in Finland. Vaihtolava operates two sorting facilities in the Helsinki region, employs ~100 people, generates roughly €18m in annual revenue and sorts over 100,000 tonnes of waste per year; management will remain in place.
