Hoffmann Family of Companies, a family-owned private equity firm, has acquired Derby Fabricating Solutions, a manufacturer of die-cut nonmetallic materials and NVH components serving automotive OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers and the appliance industry. Derby operates four Midwest production facilities (Louisville and Cadiz, Kentucky; Sidney, Ohio; Rockford, Michigan) and is IATF 16949 certified; the transaction strengthens Hoffmann's manufacturing vertical and expands its capabilities in automotive component fabrication.

Shepler's Ferry Inc., the family-owned operator of ferry services to Mackinac Island, has entered a partnership with The Hoffmann Family of Companies. Greenwich Capital Group served as exclusive financial advisor to Shepler's in the transaction, which transfers ownership/partnership interest from the third-generation Shepler family to the Hoffmann family to ensure continuity of service and stewardship of the business.

Hoffmann Family of Companies Acquires Ferche Millwork

The Hoffmann Family of Companies has acquired Ferche Millwork, including its brands Ferche Frames, Firerated Frames and Ferche Lumber, plus 87 acres of land in Rice, Minnesota and Mount Pleasant, Tennessee. Ferche, headquartered in Rice, Minn., manufactures over 13,000 products per year and will continue operating under existing leadership as Hoffmann expands its manufacturing and Midwest footprint.

The seller is the Miller family; Hoffmann plans to modernize digital assets, upgrade printing facilities, and integrate the title into its existing media portfolio to preserve local journalism and expand regional printing and digital capabilities.
