Pearlman Group, a portfolio company of The Stephens Group, has acquired CleanSource, Inc., a Columbia, South Carolina-based distributor of professional cleaning and restoration supplies. Terms were not disclosed; CleanSource’s founders (the Stutts family) will transition ownership while Jonathan Stutts and the CleanSource team continue operating the business as part of Pearlman’s specialty distribution platform.

(dba Excel Cleaning and Restoration Supplies), a Fort Myers, Florida-based distributor of professional cleaning, restoration, pressure-washing and janitorial supplies. The transaction is an add-on to Pearlman’s distribution platform to expand into the restoration and professional cleaning end markets; the selling owners Matt and Julia Nelson will remain with management post-close.

Melville, N.Y.-based PrestigePEO has acquired Gainesville, Fla.-based Advantage Personnel Resources, LLC (APR), a PEO that provides HR services, payroll administration, employee benefits and workers' compensation to SMBs across Florida and Georgia. The deal is an add-on to PrestigePEO's platform (backed by TriSpan) and is intended to expand PrestigePEO's geographic footprint in the southern U.S. while broadening its service capabilities and broker relationships.
