Central Garden & Pet Acquires U.S. Assets of Champion USA

Central Garden & Pet (NASDAQ: CENT) has acquired the U.S. assets of Champion USA, adding the JustiFLY line of feed-through, EPA-approved cattle fly-control products to its portfolio. The deal brings Champion USA's St. Joseph, Missouri manufacturing and employees into Central's Professional business unit to expand its sustainable livestock fly-control offerings and nationwide distribution.

Leading Edge Avionics Acquires Advantage Avionics

The deal (closed June 30) expands Central's bird feed category capabilities and strengthens its relationships with major retailers, farm & feed stores, garden centers and online channels.

Aero Operating LLC, a portfolio company of Mill Point Capital, announced the acquisitions of Lawn Butler (Centerville, Utah), Groundtek of Central Florida (Ocoee, Florida) and The Shepherd's Landscaping (Belleview, Florida). Concurrent with the transactions Aero Operating rebranded as Outworx Group to reflect an expanded exterior facilities maintenance platform offering landscaping, snow and ice removal, and related services.

Central Garden & Pet Acquires Hopewell Nursery

Central Garden & Pet has entered into an agreement to acquire Hopewell Nursery, a live goods grower headquartered in Bridgeton, New Jersey. The acquisition expands Central's live goods business and scale in the Northeast; Hopewell operates over 1,800 acres, employs approximately 500 people, and the deal is expected to close December 31, 2020 (terms undisclosed).
