Avidity Science Acquires Lab Products, Bio Medic Data Systems, Hydropac and Harford Systems

Avidity Science, a ShoreView portfolio company, has acquired Lab Products, Inc. and its divisions — Bio Medic Data Systems, Hydropac and Harford Systems — expanding its portfolio of water purification and delivery products, control and monitoring solutions, and vivarium equipment for biomedical research. The transaction is the fifth add-on completed under ShoreView's ownership and is intended to broaden Avidity's product capabilities and geographic presence in the life-science research market.

Gen Cap America Acquires Lab Products and Harford Systems from Avidity Science

Gen Cap America, in partnership with existing management, has acquired Lab Products, LLC and Harford Systems, LLC from Avidity Science. Lab Products manufactures laboratory research animal housing, cages, and environmental control systems and is headquartered in Seaford, Delaware with a manufacturing facility in Aberdeen, Maryland. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Symphony Technology Group (STG) Acquires Avid Technology

An affiliate of Symphony Technology Group (STG) completed an all-cash acquisition of Avid Technology for approximately $1.4 billion, taking the media and entertainment software company private. Avid stockholders received $27.05 per share; Avid will remain headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, and STG said it will support accelerated innovation and growth.
