Main Street Capital Corporation exited its debt and equity investments as part of the recapitalization and realized a gain while receiving a minority equity stake in the acquirer.

Symphony Technology Group Acquires McAfee Enterprise Business

A consortium led by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG) completed the acquisition of McAfee's Enterprise business in a transaction announced for $4.0 billion. The divestiture separates McAfee's enterprise security operations — which generated about $1.3 billion in FY2020 revenue and served the vast majority of Fortune 100 customers — allowing McAfee to focus on consumer security while STG invests to grow the standalone enterprise cybersecurity business.

An affiliate of Symphony Technology Group (STG), River Acquisition Corp., has completed a cash acquisition of MediaValet Inc. for CAD$1.71 per share, valuing the company at approximately CAD$80 million. The transaction provides immediate liquidity to MediaValet shareholders (including Shen Capital) and will take the cloud-native DAM provider private to support continued product innovation and growth under STG ownership.

Symphony Technology Group (STG) has entered into and completed a definitive agreement to acquire SAI360, a Chicago‑headquartered cloud risk management and compliance SaaS provider, from BPEA EQT (BPEA Fund VI). The acquisition (terms not disclosed) is intended to accelerate SAI360's product innovation and growth while expanding STG's portfolio in software, data and analytics. The transaction was subject to customary regulatory approvals and closed in 2023 (expected/announced Q2 2023 in press releases).

As part of the ownership transition, Wrike founder Andrew Filev transitions to Board Advisor and Chief Financial Officer Thomas Scott becomes Interim CEO as the company continues to scale its SaaS work management platform.
