Current (GE Current) Acquires Hubbell Commercial & Industrial Lighting Business

Current (formerly GE Current, a Daintree company), part of American Industrial Partners, has completed the acquisition of Hubbell Incorporated's Commercial & Industrial (C&I) lighting business to form the expanded company branded as Current. The deal combines complementary product and controls portfolios — expanding Current's indoor/outdoor lighting, controls and connected lighting offerings and strengthening distribution and scale to capture LED conversion and connected-controls demand.

Elite Lighting Acquires Assets of Edison Price Lighting

California-based Elite Lighting won a bankruptcy auction to purchase the assets of Edison Price Lighting after outbidding GE Current (a Daintree company) with a $4.15 million bid. The purchase—subject to court approval—transfers the historic Edison Price brand and product assets to Elite, enabling Elite to expand its architectural and track-lighting portfolio.

American Industrial Partners Acquires Current (powered by GE)

American Industrial Partners (AIP) has completed the acquisition of Current, powered by GE, from General Electric. Current — a provider of LED lighting, intelligent controls, sensors and software for commercial, industrial and municipal customers — will continue to use the GE brand under a long-term licensing agreement as it operates under AIP ownership.

Turnmill Limited Acquires iGlobal Forum Inc.

Turnmill Limited, a London-based operator of large-scale financial-services events backed by Horizon Capital, has acquired iGlobal Forum Inc., a New York-based organizer of high-level events focused on private capital markets and real estate private equity. The add-on expands Turnmill's portfolio (which includes GBM, GRO Events and Dealmakers Forums) and deepens its presence in the independent sponsors and real estate private equity markets.

Kuzco Group Acquires Auroralight

Environmental Lights Acquires City Theatrical

Environmental Lights, a San Diego-based LED lighting supplier, has acquired City Theatrical (including its U.S. and U.K. entities) to expand its product portfolio and global footprint in the scenic and theatrical lighting market. City Theatrical will continue to operate under its brand with existing leadership retained, combining complementary product lines such as Multiverse Wireless DMX and QolorFLEX LED lighting.
