Stonewall Kitchen, a specialty food and home goods producer based in York, Maine, has acquired Village Candle, a fragranced candle manufacturer and retailer based in Wells, Maine. The acquisition expands Stonewall Kitchen's home goods and fragrance product assortment and brings Village Candle's manufacturing team and product lines into Stonewall Kitchen's omni-channel platform.

The founders Tom Knibbs and Jim Dygas are stepping away from ownership roles while the Urban Accents team will join Stonewall Kitchen to expand its portfolio of premium specialty food brands.

Stonewall Kitchen Acquires Vermont Coffee Company

Stonewall Kitchen, the Maine-based specialty food and home goods platform, acquired Vermont Coffee Company, a Middlebury, Vermont-based roaster and seller of certified-organic bagged coffee. The deal brings Vermont Coffee into Stonewall Kitchen’s family of specialty brands and supports continued roasting operations in Middlebury plus plans for a new downtown Middlebury café.

Audax Private Equity Acquires Stonewall Kitchen from Centre Partners
