Architect Equity Acquires Faultless Brands

Architect Equity, a Los Angeles-based private investment firm, has acquired Faultless Brands, the Kansas City-based owner of consumer cleaning and fabric-care brands including Faultless, Niagara, Magic, Bon Ami and Trapp Fragrances. The family-owned business (founded 1887) will operate under Architect's ownership to support growth initiatives, product innovation and global distribution expansion.

The deal included Phoenix’s brands, manufacturing and logistics assets; Phoenix had roughly $130 million in revenue and product distribution in about 40 countries at the time.

Electrolux Professional AB (publ) has agreed to acquire Unified Brands Inc. and related assets from Dover Corporation for approximately SEK 2,140m (about USD 244m) on a cash- and debt-free basis. The deal — expected to close in Q4 2021 subject to regulatory approvals — strengthens Electrolux Professional's presence in the United States and expands its foodservice equipment portfolio while Unified Brands' management will remain in place.
