Gryphon Investors Acquires Ncontracts from Mainsail Partners

Gryphon Investors, a San Francisco-based middle-market private equity firm, has acquired Ncontracts, a Nashville-based provider of cloud-based risk, vendor and compliance management software for financial institutions. Mainsail Partners, which invested in Ncontracts in 2015, sold the company; Michael Berman will remain CEO and several Gryphon software executives will join Ncontracts' board. Terms were not disclosed.

Ncontracts, a Gryphon Investors–backed provider of risk, vendor and compliance SaaS, has acquired Quantivate, a governance, risk and compliance (GRC) software provider for banks and credit unions. The add-on expands Ncontracts' SaaS and knowledge-as-a-service offerings, increasing the combined company to roughly 350 employees and a customer base of more than 4,000 financial institutions.

Hg Acquires Majority Stake in GTreasury
