An SBIC-backed investor syndicate including NewSpring, Capital Alignment Partners, Petra Capital Partners, Tecum Capital and Silver Palm Capital Healthcare Partners has acquired Aging With Comfort, a Philadelphia-based licensed home care agency. The investors will join the company’s board to support growth, expand services across southeast Pennsylvania, and pursue organic growth and M&A in the fragmented home care market.

Aveanna Healthcare Acquires Comfort Care Home Health & Hospice for $345M

Aveanna Healthcare (NASDAQ: AVAH) completed the acquisition of Comfort Care Home Health & Hospice, a 31-location provider across Alabama and Tennessee, for $345.0 million (approximately $290.0 million net of estimated tax benefits). The deal expands Aveanna’s home health and hospice footprint in demographically attractive adult care markets and Comfort Care is expected to be fully integrated into Aveanna during 2022.

Aveanna Healthcare Acquires Accredited Home Care

Aveanna Healthcare (NASDAQ: AVAH) completed its acquisition of Accredited Home Care, a large Southern California private-duty home care provider, for a base purchase price of $180 million plus up to $45 million in earnouts. Accredited serves roughly 9,000 patients annually with approximately 6,250 field nurses and caregivers, generated about $114.8 million in trailing twelve-month revenue (ended Aug 31, 2021), and derives ~86% of revenue from Medicaid or state-funded programs.

HouseWorks Acquires Care and Help Home Care

Waud Capital Partners Acquires Senior Helpers from Advocate Health

Waud Capital Partners has acquired Senior Helpers, a Maryland-based provider of in-home senior care, from Advocate Health. The transaction was supported by debt financing led by Comvest Credit Partners (administrative agent) and private credit from Bow River Capital to fund the acquisition and future growth; terms were not disclosed. Senior Helpers operates more than 380 franchised and corporate locations across 44 states, Canada, and Australia and will be led in part by Waud Executive Partner Steve Jakubcanin as Executive Chairman.
