NuWave Solutions has acquired BigBear Inc., a San Diego–based provider of cloud-based big data analytics, AI and geospatial solutions for the U.S. national security community. The acquisition — NuWave's first since being acquired by private equity firm AE Industrial Partners earlier in 2020 — expands NuWave's data analytics, AI and cloud capabilities to better serve federal defense and intelligence customers. Terms were not disclosed.

Quantum Surgical Acquires NeuWave Medical

Quantum Surgical has acquired NeuWave Medical and combined both businesses under a newly created parent, Precision IO Group Inc., to expand a robotic-assisted tumor ablation platform. The deal is supported by investment from Ally Bridge Group and aims to integrate Quantum Surgical's Epione robotic system with NeuWave's microwave ablation technology to broaden access to minimally invasive interventional oncology care.

Commonwealth Electrical Technologies Acquires NuWave Energy Solutions

The deal — terms not disclosed — represents AEI's ninth platform investment in Fund II and is intended to accelerate PCI's growth and reach into defense, intelligence, and national security markets.
