Soteria Battery Innovation Group Acquires Assets of Voltaplex

Soteria Battery Innovation Group has acquired the assets of Voltaplex to form the core of a new battery material, cell and pack distribution division and to expand Soteria’s international presence. The deal brings Voltaplex’s capabilities in 18650 cell distribution and custom cylindrical cell pack design into Soteria’s battery-safety-focused consortium and licensing platform.

Elemental Holding Acquires Colt Recycling LLC

Elemental Holding Group, a Luxembourg-headquartered urban mining and recycling company, has agreed to acquire 100% of Colt Recycling LLC and its Colt Recycling Southeast LLC operation. The acquisition adds facilities in Hudson, New Hampshire and Hickory, North Carolina that process a combined ~80 million pounds of electronic scrap per year, expanding Elemental's U.S. East Coast footprint and capabilities in e-waste recycling and IT asset disposition (ITAD).

Stryten Energy Acquires Tulip Richardson Manufacturing from Saugatuck Capital

Stryten Energy acquired Tulip Richardson Manufacturing (TRM) from Saugatuck Capital Company in a strategic purchase announced in December 2021. The acquisition adds TRM’s vertically integrated injection-molding and battery-component manufacturing capabilities — including facilities in Milwaukee, Columbus (IN) and Niagara Falls (NY) — to Stryten’s energy storage and battery component platform to expand production capacity and capabilities.

Atlas Holdings Acquires EVRAZ North America to Form Orion Steel

Atlas Holdings has completed the acquisition of EVRAZ Inc. NA and EVRAZ Inc. NA Canada (together, EVRAZ North America) and has formed Orion Steel to operate the acquired businesses. The transaction creates a well-capitalized North American steel platform with ~3,400 employees, significant steelmaking and finished steel capacity, and operations in the United States and Canada.

Element Materials Technology Acquires Energy Assurance

Element Materials Technology has acquired Energy Assurance, a Gainesville, Georgia-based independent battery testing operator, to expand its battery testing capabilities and lab capacity in North America. The acquisition adds EA’s performance, safety, regulatory and abuse testing services (including >3,000 cycling channels and 200+ environmental chambers) to Element’s global network to support growth in EVs, energy storage and connected device markets.

Lyten Acquires Northvolt's BESS Product Portfolio

Lyten announced it has secured more than $200 million in additional equity (primarily from existing investors) and acquired the rights to Northvolt's Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) product portfolio, including Voltpack Mobile Systems (VMS) and Voltrack. Core members of Northvolt's energy storage engineering team will join Lyten in Stockholm, and Lyten plans to manufacture VMS and future BESS products in Gdansk, Poland with production targeted for Q4 2025.
