Tide Rock Holdings, a San Diego-based strategic holding company, has acquired American Recycling Company, LLC of Modesto, California (renamed American Recycling Holdings, LLC). The full-service recycler — which handles paper, plastic, metal and organic waste and provides ESG-compliant analytics — will remain managed by its founders and will expand services and organics processing under Tide Rock's ownership.

Paladin EnviroTech Acquires R&L Recycling B.V.

Paladin EnviroTech, a global IT asset disposition (ITAD) and electronics recycling provider backed by SER Capital Partners, has acquired Netherlands-based R&L Recycling B.V., marking Paladin’s first European acquisition. The deal gives Paladin a 129,000 sq. ft. Helmond facility and local management to serve hyperscalers, OEMs and other European customers; financial terms were not disclosed.

EQT Infrastructure to Acquire Covanta Holding Corporation for $5.3 Billion

EQT Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Covanta Holding Corporation, a Morristown, New Jersey–headquartered owner and operator of waste-to-energy facilities, for $20.25 per share in a transaction valued at $5.3 billion including assumed net debt. The deal, unanimously approved by Covanta’s board, will be financed by EQT Infrastructure V and is expected to close by year-end; EQT said it plans to invest in operational, digital and sustainability initiatives to grow Covanta's waste processing, energy production and metals recycling businesses.

Atlas Holdings Acquires Exide Americas Assets to Establish Stryten Manufacturing and Element Resources

Atlas Holdings completed a court-supervised Section 363 purchase of substantially all operating assets of the Americas business of Exide Technologies, LLC and launched two standalone companies — Stryten Manufacturing and Element Resources — to operate the acquired battery manufacturing and recycling businesses. Stryten Manufacturing (headquartered in Milton, Georgia) will operate multiple U.S. battery plants serving transportation, industrial and network-power markets, while Element Resources will own and operate lead-battery recycling facilities in Missouri and Indiana.

MAX Environmental Holdings (Altus-backed) Acquires LEI, Inc.

The add-on expands MAX’s geographic reach into the Gulf Coast, adds recycling capabilities and access to permitted facilities; financial terms were not disclosed.

Northstar Recycling Acquires Complete Recycling

Northstar Recycling Company, a portfolio company of Ridgemont Equity Partners, has acquired Complete Recycling, an asset-light provider of managed waste and recycling services that serves food, beverage and consumer packaged goods customers. The deal expands Northstar's service offerings and national footprint to better serve multi-facility manufacturers and distributors and advance landfill diversion and sustainability initiatives.
