EQT Acquires Scale Microgrids from Warburg Pincus

EQT Transition Infrastructure has agreed to acquire Scale Microgrids, a vertically integrated developer, owner and operator of microgrids and distributed energy assets, from Warburg Pincus and other existing shareholders. Headquartered in Ridgewood, New Jersey, Scale operates roughly 250 MW of assets with a ~2.5 GW near-term pipeline; EQT said it will invest to scale commercial processes, software and project execution to accelerate growth in distributed generation and resilience offerings.

Brookfield Renewable Acquires Urban Grid for $650M

Brookfield Renewable acquired clean power developer Urban Grid and its pipeline of approximately 20,000 MW (13,000 MW solar and 7,000 MW storage) across 12 U.S. states for $650 million. The deal roughly triples Brookfield Renewable's U.S. development pipeline and Urban Grid will continue to operate under its brand as an independent power producer (IPP).

Tiger Infrastructure Partners Acquires Unison Energy (Growth Capital Investment)

Tiger Infrastructure Partners (Fund III) completed a growth capital acquisition of Unison Energy LLC, an Energy-as-a-Service microgrid platform that designs, builds, owns and operates behind-the-meter microgrids for commercial and industrial customers. Unison, headquartered in Greenwich, Connecticut, owns and operates ~30 projects across hospitals, data centers, hospitality, food & beverage and other industrial end-markets; the investment is the final platform investment for Tiger’s $1.25 billion Fund III.
