Emerson agreed to acquire Open Systems International, Inc. (OSI Inc.) for $1.6 billion in an all-cash transaction to expand its software capabilities for the power industry. The deal brings OSI’s grid management and operations technology software and associated engineering services into Emerson’s automation and software portfolio to accelerate digitization and renewable integration across utilities.
