Emerson has completed the acquisition of NI (National Instruments) for an equity value of $8.2 billion (approximately $60 per share). The deal brings NI's software-connected automated test and measurement systems into Emerson as a new Test & Measurement segment headquartered in Austin, Texas, enhancing Emerson's automation capabilities, software exposure and end-market diversification across semiconductor, transportation/EV and aerospace and defense markets.
