Prima Acquires Prospect Farms to Form Uplifter Brands

Prima has acquired Prospect Farms, a vertically integrated USDA Certified Organic hemp farm and manufacturing complex in Prospect, Maine, and together the businesses will operate as Uplifter Brands, PBC. The deal gives Prima in-house cultivation, formulation and fulfillment capabilities to accelerate growth across personal care, supplements, spa/hospitality and pet wellness and is backed by strategic investors including Maximalist, Greycroft, Lerer Hippeau, Global Founders Capital, Ropart Asset Management and Platform Ventures.

Society Brands Acquires Primal Life Organics

Society Brands, a tech-enabled consumer products platform, has acquired Akron, Ohio–based Primal Life Organics to expand its portfolio of direct-to-consumer and retail personal care brands. The founders will remain involved (Trina Felber as brand president), and Primal Life's more than 20 employees will stay in place as Society works to scale the brand's DTC business and expand retail distribution.

Blue Owl Capital Acquires Prima Capital Advisors

Blue Owl Capital Inc. agreed to acquire Prima Capital Advisors for aggregate consideration of $170 million to launch a Real Estate Finance strategy. Prima, a real estate lender and asset manager focused on commercial mortgage-backed securities with roughly $10 billion AUM and majority-owned by Stone Point Capital, will join Blue Owl’s real estate platform upon closing expected in mid-2024.

ResourceWise Acquires Prima Markets

ResourceWise has acquired UK-based Prima Markets, a research and price-benchmarking provider for low-carbon fuels and energy value chains, effective November 7, 2022. Prima Markets will operate as part of ResourceWise (now known as Prima Markets from ResourceWise) with founder Matthew Stone joining as Managing Director; terms were not disclosed. The acquisition expands ResourceWise's data and analytics coverage into renewable fuels, feedstocks and the low-carbon fuels value chain.

Duck Creek Technologies Acquires Prima XL and Prima Compliance from Prima Solutions

Duck Creek Technologies has acquired Prima XL, Prima Solutions' cloud-based reinsurance platform, along with the Prima Compliance Solvency II solution from France-based Prima Solutions. Harris Williams advised Prima Solutions on the sale; the deal is intended to expand Duck Creek's reinsurance and regulatory compliance capabilities and create cross-sell opportunities across its global P&C insurance customer base.

Puration, Inc. Acquires CBD Sun Care Product Business
