Austin-based Sky Marketing Corporation has acquired Prima, the CBD-focused skincare, body care and supplements brand, for an undisclosed amount. The deal brings Prima back from a 2023 pause and adds high-quality CBD skincare and body care to Sky Marketing’s hemp-focused house of brands; Prima co-founder Jessica Assaf will remain involved as an advisor.

Society Brands Acquires Primal Life Organics

Society Brands, a tech-enabled consumer products platform, has acquired Akron, Ohio–based Primal Life Organics to expand its portfolio of direct-to-consumer and retail personal care brands. The founders will remain involved (Trina Felber as brand president), and Primal Life's more than 20 employees will stay in place as Society works to scale the brand's DTC business and expand retail distribution.

Apple Rush Co. Acquires Pursuit Hemp Farms

The Apple Rush Company, Inc. (APRU) announced the acquisition of Illinois-based Pursuit Hemp Farms, LLC to advance its seed-to-sale hemp strategy. Pursuit Hemp Farms is a family-run operation with roughly 1,400 acres of cropland that has been cultivating hemp since 2018; Apple Rush said the purchase will help vertically integrate growing, manufacturing and distribution of hemp-derived products.

HPH III (WM Partners) Acquires Prime6 Brands (Primal Harvest)

HPH III Investments, LP, a fund managed by WM Partners, has acquired a majority control position in Prime6 Brands GmbH, the owner of DTC supplement brand Primal Harvest and skincare brand BeautyLux. The acquisition supports HPH III's buy-and-build strategy in the natural consumer health sector to scale Prime6's DTC capabilities and expand across North America and Europe; terms were not disclosed.

Primient Acquires Primient Covation

Primient has acquired full ownership of Primient Covation, the producer of Susterra® and Zemea® 1,3-propanediols. Terms were not disclosed; the acquisition integrates Primient Covation's plant-based diols into Primient's sustainable ingredients portfolio to expand capability and market offerings. The move is intended to generate operational synergies and accelerate development and scale-up of sustainable bio-based materials.

Califia Farms Acquires Uproot Inc.

Califia Farms has acquired Uproot Inc., a New York–based provider of plant-milk dispenser systems for foodservice. The acquisition brings Uproot's dispenser program (operating 150+ dispensers across colleges, K–12 and hospitals) and its founding team into Califia to expand the company's Away From Home plant-based beverage offerings and sustainable dispensing capabilities.
