Prototek Acquires Midwest Prototyping

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of Midwest Prototyping LLC on July 15, 2021, creating a broader one-stop provider for prototyping and low-volume digital manufacturing. The deal brings additive manufacturing capabilities to Prototek’s existing sheet metal and CNC services, expands geographic coverage, and combines workforces to serve aerospace, defense, medical and industrial end markets.

RE3DTECH + GoProto Acquires Phoenix Proto Technologies

RE3DTECH + GoProto, a CORE Industrial Partners portfolio company, has acquired Phoenix Proto Technologies, a Michigan-based provider of rapid tooling, injection molding, CNC machining and additive manufacturing services. The acquisition expands RE3DTECH's in-house injection molding capabilities, enabling a broader offering from prototyping through production for customers in medical, aerospace & defense, consumer and industrial end markets.

Prototek Acquires Prototype Solutions Group

Prototek Holdings LLC has acquired Prototype Solutions Group (PSG), a Menomonie, Wisconsin-based rapid prototyping provider, expanding Prototek's CNC, additive and cast manufacturing capabilities and Midwest capacity. PSG founder Alan Anderson will serve as a strategic operational advisor and will continue to lead day-to-day operations at the Menomonie location; terms were not disclosed.

Prototek Acquires ProtoCAM to Expand Additive Manufacturing Capabilities

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of ProtoCAM, an Allentown, Pennsylvania-based industrial 3D printing and rapid prototyping provider. ProtoCAM will be merged into Prototek’s Midwest Prototyping additive manufacturing division to expand capacity and add QuickCast and other 3D printing technologies to the platform; terms were not disclosed.

Prototek Acquires Sac EDM & Waterjet

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of Sacramento EDM, Inc. (Sac EDM & Waterjet), adding two Rancho Cordova, California facilities (26,000 sq. ft.) and expanded CNC, waterjet and EDM capabilities. The deal expands Prototek's digital manufacturing platform and West Coast footprint; Sac EDM's President Dan Folk will join Prototek as Vice President of Wire EDM and Waterjet Cutting. Prototek is backed by private equity firm TruArc Partners.

RE3DTECH+GoProto (CORE Industrial Partners) Acquires Stanfordville Machine & Manufacturing

CORE Industrial Partners’ portfolio company RE3DTECH+GoProto has acquired Stanfordville Machine & Manufacturing, a Poughkeepsie, New York-based supplier of precision CNC machined components and assemblies founded in 1975. The add-on expands the RE3DTECH platform’s traditional and additive manufacturing capabilities and geographic footprint, enabling broader service to semiconductor, medical, aerospace & defense, and electronics customers.
