Prototek Acquires ProtoCAM to Expand Additive Manufacturing Capabilities

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of ProtoCAM, an Allentown, Pennsylvania-based industrial 3D printing and rapid prototyping provider. ProtoCAM will be merged into Prototek’s Midwest Prototyping additive manufacturing division to expand capacity and add QuickCast and other 3D printing technologies to the platform; terms were not disclosed.

Snow Phipps Group Acquires Prototek Holdings LLC

Snow Phipps Group has completed a buyout of Prototek Holdings LLC from CORE Industrial Partners. Prototek is a national provider of precision CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication for rapid prototyping and low-volume production across end markets including aerospace, defense and medical; Snow Phipps intends to support organic and acquisition-driven growth.

Prototek Acquires Prototype Solutions Group

Prototek Holdings LLC has acquired Prototype Solutions Group (PSG), a Menomonie, Wisconsin-based rapid prototyping provider, expanding Prototek's CNC, additive and cast manufacturing capabilities and Midwest capacity. PSG founder Alan Anderson will serve as a strategic operational advisor and will continue to lead day-to-day operations at the Menomonie location; terms were not disclosed.

Tribus Aerospace Acquires Midwest Precision

Tribus Aerospace Corp., a Shorehill Capital-backed aerospace manufacturing platform, has completed the acquisition of Midwest Precision Holdings Inc., a precision machining firm based in Eastlake, Ohio. Shorehill Capital provided additional equity support and Antares provided debt and equity financing to support the transaction; terms were not disclosed. The deal expands Tribus's manufacturing capabilities and product offerings for OEM and Tier I customers across aerospace, defense and energy end markets.

RE3DTECH + GoProto Acquires Phoenix Proto Technologies

RE3DTECH + GoProto, a CORE Industrial Partners portfolio company, has acquired Phoenix Proto Technologies, a Michigan-based provider of rapid tooling, injection molding, CNC machining and additive manufacturing services. The acquisition expands RE3DTECH's in-house injection molding capabilities, enabling a broader offering from prototyping through production for customers in medical, aerospace & defense, consumer and industrial end markets.

Prototek Acquires Sac EDM & Waterjet

Prototek Holdings LLC completed the acquisition of Sacramento EDM, Inc. (Sac EDM & Waterjet), adding two Rancho Cordova, California facilities (26,000 sq. ft.) and expanded CNC, waterjet and EDM capabilities. The deal expands Prototek's digital manufacturing platform and West Coast footprint; Sac EDM's President Dan Folk will join Prototek as Vice President of Wire EDM and Waterjet Cutting. Prototek is backed by private equity firm TruArc Partners.
