Advanced Energy Acquires Artesyn's Embedded Power Business from Platinum Equity

Advanced Energy Industries, Inc. has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the Embedded Power business of Artesyn Embedded Technologies from Platinum Equity for approximately $400 million. The divestiture (sale of a business unit) expands Advanced Energy's power-conversion product portfolio and brings Artesyn's AC-DC and DC-DC power supply offerings into Advanced Energy's precision power platform; the deal was expected to close in H2 2019 pending regulatory approvals.
