Super-Sod Acquires Tri-Tex Grass

Super-Sod (Patten Seed Company) acquired Tri-Tex Grass, a Granbury, Texas-based turfgrass grower, in a transaction completed November 14, 2024. The deal expands Super-Sod’s distribution and farming footprint into Texas; Tri-Tex operations and leadership (Mike Pender and Mark Graf) will transition to operate under the Super-Sod brand.

TriCal Group Acquires Landmark Irrigation from Prospect Partners

TriCal Soil Solutions, part of the TriCal Group, has acquired Landmark Irrigation, a full-service agricultural irrigation dealer headquartered in Madera, California, from Prospect Partners. Landmark—operating seven retail locations across California and Arizona and led by Russ Spain and Gene Blocher—will continue to operate under its existing management as part of the TriCal portfolio; Meridian Capital served as Landmark’s advisor on the deal.

Inverness Graham-Backed Custom Agronomics Acquires BioTek Ag

Custom Agronomics, a portfolio company of Inverness Graham Green Light, has acquired BioTek Ag to expand its private-label portfolio of liquid plant nutrients, nitrogen stabilizers and specialty products. The deal broadens Custom Ag’s formulation capabilities and extends the combined business’s geographic reach into the U.S. Midwest and Southeast. Terms were not disclosed.

Nutrien Acquires Actagro from Norwest Equity Partners

Agrality Acquires Nebraska Irrigated Seeds

The purchase adds four sites, ~400,000 sq ft of warehousing/processing capacity and access to thousands of acres of seed production, accelerating Agrality's expansion into the U.S. Midwest seed market.

The acquisition expands FoodChain ID's regulatory, compliance and crop protection data capabilities and strengthens its farm-to-fork data offerings for food, chemical and agricultural customers.
