Benjamin Capital Partners has acquired New Thing Co., an Austin-based augmented reality (AR) rewards technology provider, to integrate AR into the Benjamin app's consumer cash-rewards 'Money Moments' marketplace. The acquisition brings New Thing's founders into Benjamin's product and engineering leadership and follows a $13 million financing round to scale the app and expand into new verticals including commerce, payments and advertising.

White Oak provided $32.5 million of committed debt financing to support the transaction.
