Brookfield Business Partners, together with institutional partners (including Brookfield Asset Management), agreed to acquire CDK Global Inc. for $54.87 per share in a transaction valued at approximately $8.3 billion. CDK Global is a leading provider of subscription-based dealer management software and services for automotive dealerships; Brookfield said it will leverage its operating capabilities to grow the company’s technology footprint and improve margins.

Keyloop Acquires RAPID RTC and enquiryMAX

Keyloop has acquired RAPID RTC (Winnipeg) and enquiryMAX (Leeds), adding lead aggregation, lead response, enquiry management and showroom applications to its automotive retail technology portfolio. The deals — announced shortly after Keyloop was acquired by Francisco Partners — expand Keyloop's sales and marketing capabilities and deepen its integrations with dealers and OEMs.

Keyloop has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Automotive Transformation Group (ATG), an omnichannel automotive retailing software provider headquartered in Kent, United Kingdom. The acquisition (an add-on to Keyloop's PE-backed platform) will combine ATG's Fusion omnichannel platform and data capabilities with Keyloop's global automotive technology portfolio to accelerate integrated omnichannel retailing for dealers, OEMs, financiers and fleet suppliers.

PAI Partners to Acquire The Looping Group

Automotive Keys Group Acquires International Key Supply

Automotive Keys Group (AKG), a portfolio company of Kinderhook Industries, acquired International Key Supply (IKS), a Farmingdale, New York-based provider of automotive keys, remotes, programming tools and related accessories. IKS founder Sean McAuliffe will join the AKG leadership team; the deal was financed by a syndicate led by Ares and Regions Bank and was advised by Kirkland & Ellis (legal) and Conlin & Co. (financial).
