Platinum Equity has signed a definitive agreement to acquire a majority interest in The Cook & Boardman Group from Littlejohn & Co., with Littlejohn remaining a significant minority shareholder. Cook & Boardman, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a leading distributor of commercial doors, frames, hardware and electronic security integration solutions with more than 70 locations across 21 states; Platinum Equity said it will support the company's continued growth and expansion in safety and security capabilities.

The Cook & Boardman Group LLC has acquired Intellicom, Inc., a Durham, North Carolina-based technology infrastructure firm that specializes in design, installation and maintenance of audio visual/collaboration, security, DAS and structured cabling systems. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands Cook & Boardman’s capabilities and regional presence in the Carolinas and Virginia and is the firm’s tenth acquisition since Platinum Equity acquired a majority stake in 2023.

Cook & Boardman Acquires B.R. Johnson, LLC

The Cook & Boardman Group LLC has acquired B.R. Johnson, LLC, a multi-location distributor and installer of windows, doors and specialty building products headquartered in Syracuse, New York. The acquisition, C&B's sixth under majority owner Platinum Equity, will allow Cook & Boardman to expand its commercial entry solutions footprint and service capabilities in Central New York; terms were not disclosed.

Cook & Boardman Acquires Brymer Communication Services (BryComm)

Terms were not disclosed; BryComm will continue operating under its name and the deal represents Cook & Boardman's seventh acquisition under majority owner Platinum Equity.

Cook & Boardman Acquires 3Sixty Integrated

The add-on expands Cook & Boardman's nationwide security integration capabilities; 3Sixty's CEO Will Duke will continue to lead the business and it will operate under the 3Sixty name.
