The Cook & Boardman Group LLC has acquired Intellicom, Inc., a Durham, North Carolina-based technology infrastructure firm that specializes in design, installation and maintenance of audio visual/collaboration, security, DAS and structured cabling systems. The deal (terms undisclosed) expands Cook & Boardman’s capabilities and regional presence in the Carolinas and Virginia and is the firm’s tenth acquisition since Platinum Equity acquired a majority stake in 2023.

The Cook & Boardman Group Acquires Converged Communications

Converged will operate as a division of A3 Communications (part of Cook & Boardman), expanding Cook & Boardman's systems integration capabilities and footprint in Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia. Terms were not disclosed.

The deal — Cook & Boardman's twelfth acquisition since Littlejohn's 2018 investment — will keep H & H Door operating under its current name and expand Cook & Boardman's installation and integrated-security capabilities in Central and South Texas; terms were not disclosed.

Cook & Boardman, based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is a leading distributor of commercial doors, frames, hardware and electronic security integration solutions with more than 70 locations across 21 states; Platinum Equity said it will support the company's continued growth and expansion in safety and security capabilities.
