Monroe Engineering Acquires Titan Wire & Cable

Monroe Engineering Group, a ShoreView-backed platform company, has acquired Titan Wire & Cable, a Sparks, Nevada-based supplier of cable, connectors and component solutions. The add-on expands Monroe’s product offering and end-market coverage (including solar, geothermal, wind, telecommunications and industrial markets) and is ShoreView’s sixth add-on to the Monroe platform since its 2017 investment.

AEA Investors and NB Private Equity Partners Acquire Monroe Engineering Group

ShoreView has sold Monroe Engineering Group, a Rochester Hills, Michigan-based supplier of custom and standard hardware for OEMs, to a consortium led by AEA Investors with participation from NB Private Equity Partners. ShoreView originally partnered with Monroe in 2017 to fund an aggressive add-on and organic growth strategy; the new private equity owners will continue to support the company’s platform growth and add-on strategy.

The deal — which adds Spangle’s fastener supply capabilities and warehouse footprint in Indiana and Texas — increases Monroe’s financial scale by roughly 30% and preserves Spangle’s management team to support cross-selling and geographic expansion.
