Compass Partners Acquires Micro Precision LLC

Compass Partners Capital LLC, a Stamford-based investment firm focused on defense and aerospace, has completed the acquisition of Micro Precision LLC (MPI), a South Windham, Connecticut-based supplier of critical parts and mechanical assemblies to the U.S. submarine program. Compass said the investment will support MPI's growth and expansion of manufacturing capabilities to better serve prime submarine contractors and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Pocasset — a niche CNC machine shop serving the autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) and oceanographic markets — will become the ninth operating company under Compass as the founders transition to retirement.

Premiere, headquartered in Holiday, Florida, is a value-added manufacturer of custom molded rubber, plastic, and metal components serving end markets including communications, pool & spa, lawn & garden and HVAC; the deal is Marco's first add-on since Align's investment and expands the platform's product and distribution capabilities.

Centerbridge Partners Acquires Precinmac LP

Centerbridge Partners has agreed to acquire Precinmac LP, a precision components manufacturer serving aerospace, defense, space and semiconductor equipment markets, from an investor group including Pine Island Capital Partners, Bain Capital's Private Credit Group and Compass Partners Capital. The transaction, announced Oct. 14, 2024, is expected to close in Q4 2024 (reported closed Dec. 2, 2024 by some sources); financial terms were not disclosed.
