TowerBrook Capital Partners has made a majority equity investment in LiftWerx Holdings Inc., a Canada-based provider of turnkey operations and maintenance (O&M) services to the onshore wind industry. The investment — the third for TowerBrook Delta, the firm’s impact strategy — will support LiftWerx’s fleet expansion, hiring and service-capability growth across North America.

Guardian Capital Acquires 60% Stake in Rae & Lipskie Investment Counsel

Guardian Capital Group Limited agreed to acquire a 60% majority interest in Rae & Lipskie Investment Counsel Inc., a private wealth manager based in Waterloo, Ontario. The deal (expected to close in Q3 2022) will add over C$1 billion in assets under management to Guardian's Private Wealth segment while current employees will retain the remaining 40% ownership.

KKR, Ontario Teachers' and PSP Investments Acquire Spark Infrastructure

A consortium of KKR, Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan Board and PSP Investments completed an all-cash acquisition of Spark Infrastructure for approximately A$5.2 billion. The deal, which received all regulatory approvals, gives the investors ownership of Spark's stakes in SA Power Networks, Victoria Power Networks (Citipower and Powercor), a stake in TransGrid and the Bomen Solar Farm as they seek to support Australia’s transition to low-carbon electricity infrastructure.

LPL Financial Acquires Crown Capital Securities' Wealth Management Business

LPL Financial has closed its acquisition of the wealth management business of Crown Capital Securities, L.P., a full-service broker-dealer and registered investment advisor based in Orange County, California. Approximately 125 advisors representing about $1.3 billion of brokerage and advisory assets have been onboarded to LPL as of May 8, 2024, with roughly $3.7 billion expected to transfer in the coming months.

Sunoco LP Acquires Parkland Corporation

Sunoco LP, through its purchaser 2709716 Alberta ULC, completed the acquisition of Parkland Corporation on October 31, 2025. Parkland shareholders received a mix of cash and units in SunocoCorp (with aggregate consideration of approximately C$3.46 billion and 51,517,198 SunocoCorp units), and Parkland shares are being withdrawn from the Toronto Stock Exchange while SunocoCorp units will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange.

1000420548 Ontario Inc. Acquires CannaPiece Corp.

CannaPiece Corp., a Canadian contract manufacturer of cannabis products, was sold by CannaPiece Group Inc. to 1000420548 Ontario Inc. pursuant to a share purchase agreement executed Feb. 8, 2023 and approved by the Ontario Superior Court on Feb. 10, 2023. The sale was completed as part of the company's creditor protection proceedings under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act and CannaPiece continues to operate under new ownership.
