Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Acquires Syracuse Glass Company

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope, Inc. (OBE) completed the acquisition of Syracuse Glass Company (SGC), a century-old fabricator and distributor of architectural glass and aluminum products headquartered in Syracuse, New York. The deal expands OBE's presence in the U.S. Northeast and allows SGC to leverage OBE's scale and product capabilities to better serve glazing contractors, manufacturers and glass retailers.

KPS Capital Partners agreed to acquire Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope Inc. (OBE) from CRH plc for approximately $3.45 billion in cash, with the transaction announced Feb 28, 2022 and completed Apr 29, 2022. OBE, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, is a vertically-integrated manufacturer, fabricator and distributor of architectural hardware, glass and glazing systems with over 6,700 employees and a broad North American footprint; KPS said it will invest in commercial and operational improvements to drive growth.

Beecken Petty O'Keefe Acquires Midwest Products & Engineering from Pfingsten

Chicago-based Beecken Petty O'Keefe & Company (BPOC) acquired a majority equity stake in Midwest Products & Engineering (MPE), a Milwaukee-based designer and manufacturer of mobile and stationary healthcare products. The transaction closed September 24, 2019, as Pfingsten sold MPE to BPOC; financial terms were not disclosed and MPE's CEO Hank Kohl will remain in place to continue growth initiatives under BPOC's healthcare-focused platform.
