Symphony Technology Group Acquires eProductivity Software from Electronics for Imaging (EFI)

An affiliate of private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG) has acquired eProductivity Software (EPS) from Electronics for Imaging (EFI), making EPS an independent, standalone global software company. EPS — a Pittsburgh-based provider of ERP and production software for the packaging and print industries with more than 4,000 customers — will receive STG backing to accelerate technology investments and pursue organic and inorganic growth.

A consortium led by private equity firm Symphony Technology Group (STG) completed the acquisition of McAfee's Enterprise business in a transaction announced for $4.0 billion. The divestiture separates McAfee's enterprise security operations — which generated about $1.3 billion in FY2020 revenue and served the vast majority of Fortune 100 customers — allowing McAfee to focus on consumer security while STG invests to grow the standalone enterprise cybersecurity business.
