DL Capital Partners partnered with Center Element Capital (led by Daniel Heckman) and other U.S. investors to acquire Management Science & Innovation (MSI), a Washington, D.C.‑area provider of strategy, technology and intelligent automation services to federal and commercial clients. Daniel Heckman was named MSI's CEO as the investors pursue growth in the rapidly expanding RPA and intelligent automation market.

Cherokee Federal, the federal contracting division of Cherokee Nation Businesses, has acquired Criterion Systems, a Vienna, Virginia-based cybersecurity and IT services firm. The deal brings Criterion’s more than 450 professionals and capabilities in cybersecurity, cloud/data center management, IT infrastructure operations and systems engineering into Cherokee Federal to bolster its federal IT and security offerings.

Nonantum Capital Partners, a Boston-based middle-market private equity firm, has acquired MSI Express, a Portage, Indiana–headquartered co-manufacturer and co-packer for food and beverage brands, from HCI Equity Partners. The deal closed March 24, 2025; financial terms were not disclosed. Nonantum said it will support continued growth and scaling of MSI's multi-facility operations.

The acquisition expands Chenega’s Military, Intelligence and Operations Support (MIOS) capabilities and adds technical cybersecurity, systems engineering, and cloud capabilities to support additional Defense and federal intelligence customers.
