GI Partners Acquires Controlling Interest in LightEdge

GI Partners, through its GI Data Infrastructure Fund, has acquired a controlling interest in LightEdge, a Des Moines–based provider of colocation, cloud and managed services. The investment—sourced from GI Partners’ data infrastructure strategy—will support LightEdge’s growth and expand its cloud and colocation capabilities; LightEdge was previously majority‑owned by The Anschutz Corporation.

LightEdge Acquires Connectria

LightEdge, a GI Partners‑backed provider of secure cloud and colocation services, has agreed to acquire Connectria, a St. Louis‑based multi‑cloud infrastructure and managed hosting provider. The deal adds six data centers to LightEdge’s footprint, expands its public cloud hosting capabilities (IBM, AWS, Azure), and is expected to close before the end of April.

SubTerra Engineering Acquires Cavern Solutions Inc.

SubTerra Engineering Corporation, a Calgary-based subsurface EPC firm, has acquired Houston-headquartered Cavern Solutions Inc., a specialist in underground salt cavern, reservoir storage and disposal engineering. The deal expands SubTerra’s capabilities and geographic footprint across North America, strengthening its offerings in underground storage, disposal, carbon capture and hydrogen projects.

FirstLight Acquires ColoSpace

FirstLight, a Northeast fiber-optic and telecom provider headquartered in Albany, New York, acquired Massachusetts-based ColoSpace, a regional colocation and managed IT services provider. The acquisition adds four data centers (nearly 20,000 square feet) and expands FirstLight's data center, cloud and managed services capabilities across Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire; financial terms were not disclosed.

LightEdge Acquires NFINIT

Lightyear Capital Acquires Controlling Stake in Lighthouse (eDiscovery/GRC)

Lightyear Capital has acquired a controlling stake in Lighthouse Technologies Holdings Corp (Lighthouse), a Seattle-headquartered provider of technology-enabled eDiscovery, information governance and GRC software and services. The transaction gives Lightyear control of Lighthouse as part of a growth strategy to expand the company's enterprise data management and eDiscovery capabilities; Spire Capital Partners (a prior investor) exited in the transaction.
