ACON Investments and DeA Capital Acquire Controlling Interest in Romar Care Group

ACON Investments and an affiliate of DeA Capital Alternative Funds acquired a controlling interest in Romar Care Group (RGC) from GPF Partners. RGC, a Valencia-based manufacturer and distributor of personal care, home care and cosmetics products with €120M in 2023 sales and a new state-of-the-art Sagunto production facility, will continue its international expansion with management retaining a material equity stake.

ACON Investments Acquires Majority Stake in Sola de Antequera (Alsur)

ACON Investments, together with Madrid-based Quarza Inversiones, acquired a majority stake in Sola de Antequera S.A. (Alsur), a producer, processor and distributor of preserved and canned vegetables with production facilities in Spain and Peru and sales across Spain and the United States. The Jiménez Family and Mario Mustafá Aguinaga retain a significant minority stake; ACON said the strategy will focus on expanding Alsur's footprint in Spain and accelerating growth into the U.S.

ACON Investments Closes $700M Continuation Fund for New Era Cap

ACON Investments closed ACON Strategic Partners II, a single-asset continuation fund of approximately $700 million to effect a partial sale of its ACON Equity Partners IV stake in New Era Cap and to increase its existing ownership. New and continuing investors — led by Apollo Global Management, GCM Grosvenor, Hamilton Lane and Neuberger Berman — joined the fund, and Major League Baseball, the National Football League and the National Basketball Association took minority equity positions as part of the transaction to support New Era's global growth and DTC/retail expansion.
