Helios Technologies Acquires i3 Product Development

Helios Technologies (NYSE: HLIO) has acquired i3 Product Development, a Wisconsin-based custom engineering and product development firm with expertise in electronics, mechanical, embedded software and rapid prototyping. The acquisition, financed with cash and equity, augments Helios’ internal engineering capabilities and supports its telematics and data analytics roadmap; terms were not disclosed.

L3Harris to Acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne

L3Harris Technologies has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc. for $58 per share in an all-cash transaction valued at $4.7 billion inclusive of net debt. The deal, financed with cash and new debt, will combine Aerojet Rocketdyne’s propulsion and energetics capabilities (about $2.3 billion in revenue and ~5,200 employees) with L3Harris to strengthen defense propulsion, hypersonics and missile-defense offerings; the transaction is expected to close subject to regulatory approvals in 2023.

Lockheed Martin Acquires Amentum's Rapid Solutions Portfolio

Lockheed Martin has completed its acquisition of Amentum’s Rapid Solutions product business, adding radar and payload capabilities to Lockheed Martin Space. Amentum divested the business for $360 million, and the Rapid Solutions team will be integrated into Lockheed Martin Space to strengthen ISR and national security mission capabilities.

C3 Integrated Solutions and Ingalls Information Security announced a merger in which C3 will integrate Ingalls' cybersecurity capabilities—including SOC, MDR/MXDR, and DFIR—into its compliance-focused managed services for the U.S. Defense Industrial Base. The deal brings Ingalls' DoD and defense-focused cyber expertise and leadership (Jason Ingalls becomes C3's Chief Cybersecurity Officer) to strengthen C3's IT, cybersecurity, and CMMC compliance offerings.

AE Industrial Partners Acquires Controlling Stake in L3Harris Space Propulsion & Power Business (Rocketdyne)

Huntington Ingalls Industries Acquires Alion Science and Technology

Alion — a defense-focused engineering, R&D and systems-integration provider with more than 3,200 employees — will join HII’s Technical Solutions division to expand capabilities in C5ISR, training & simulation, AI, data analytics and electronic warfare.
