Bentley Systems Acquires Power Line Systems from TA Associates for ~$700M

Bentley Systems agreed to acquire Power Line Systems, a Madison, Wisconsin–headquartered leader in transmission-line engineering software, from private equity firm TA Associates for approximately $700 million. The acquisition expands Bentley's grid integration and digital twin offerings by adding transmission-grade PLS products to its portfolio and will operate within Bentley's new Grid Integration Group upon closing.

Bentley Systems Acquires SPIDA Software

Bentley Systems has acquired SPIDA Software, a Columbus, Ohio-based developer of specialized utility pole design, analysis, and asset management software. The acquisition (advised by 7 Mile Advisors to SPIDA) adds approximately 26 colleagues to Bentley and will integrate SPIDA's structural analysis and pole-management capabilities into Bentley's OpenUtilities grid digital twin and cloud services to support grid modernization and 5G/EV infrastructure demands.

Bentley Systems Acquires Australian Construction Software Firm E7

Bentley Systems has acquired E7 Pty Ltd, a Brisbane-based provider of field-based construction delivery software, to integrate E7’s mobile and web field data capture and daily-cost capabilities into Bentley’s SYNCHRO digital construction delivery solution. The deal brings E7’s field resource utilization and progress measurement tools to Bentley’s 4D construction digital twin platform, enhancing project delivery for heavy civil contractors working on large infrastructure programs.

Bentley Systems (iTwin Ventures) Acquires Blyncsy

Bentley Systems' corporate venture arm, iTwin Ventures, has acquired Blyncsy, a Salt Lake City–based provider of AI and computer-vision services for transportation operations and roadway asset analytics. Blyncsy will adopt Bentley's iTwin Platform and its AI roadway analytics will be incorporated into Bentley's mobility and infrastructure digital twin offerings to accelerate asset analytics for departments of transportation and other infrastructure owners.

Eaton Acquires Resilient Power Systems

Eaton has completed the acquisition of Resilient Power Systems Inc., an Austin-based developer and manufacturer of solid-state transformer technology and ultra-compact EV charging depots. Eaton said the deal will help scale Resilient's next-generation medium-voltage solid-state transformer technology for markets including data centers, energy storage and EV charging.
