The Boldest Acquires DTC Brand Jupiter

Los Angeles-based venture studio The Boldest has acquired Jupiter, a U.S. direct-to-consumer health & wellness CPG brand, in an all-cash deal. The acquisition (closing in September 2024) will support rapid scaling of Jupiter's online and retail sales while founders Simon Saval and Tyler Turner remain as advisors with a minority equity stake.

BlackRock Alternatives, through its Diversified Infrastructure business, has agreed to acquire Jupiter Power LLC from EnCap Energy Transition Fund I and co-investors Yorktown Partners and Mercuria Energy. Jupiter Power is a U.S. operator and developer of utility-scale battery energy storage systems (with a 655 MWh operating fleet, 340 MWh under construction and an ~11,000 MW development pipeline); the deal is expected to close in late 2022.

The brand will operate as an independent label within Wellful’s health and wellness portfolio and is expected to return in the fall with DTC delivery and personalized coaching.
