Burnout Brands (Hidden Harbor) Acquires Stake in BD Engine Brake (BD Diesel)

Burnout Brands, a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, made a strategic investment in BD Engine Brake Inc. (BD Diesel), a British Columbia–based manufacturer and distributor of turbochargers, transmissions and performance diesel products. The deal is an add-on to build the Burnout Brands platform and the existing BD Diesel owners will retain an ownership stake; terms were not disclosed.

The transaction positions Burnout Brands as a platform for scaling performance auto aftermarket businesses; existing owners of Monster Transmission will retain an ownership stake and management will continue to run day-to-day operations.

Burnout Brands, a performance automotive platform and portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, has acquired Brian Tooley Racing, a Kentucky-based manufacturer of high-performance camshafts, valvetrain components and intake manifold engineering. The acquisition brings BTR into Burnout Brands' portfolio (which includes Monster Transmission, BD Diesel and D&J Precision Machine) to expand product development, manufacturing capabilities and aftermarket market reach.

Shaw Group, has acquired J&F Machine, a Cypress, California-based precision CNC machining business serving aerospace, defense and commercial markets. The acquisition is an early add-on in Threadlock Precision's plan to build an integrated network of precision manufacturers and will provide J&F with operational support, technology modernization and growth capital.

DPI Off-Road Brands Acquires JT's Parts and Accessories

DPI Off-Road Brands (f/k/a Daystar Products International), a Phoenix-based automotive aftermarket parts platform backed by Dubin Clark, has acquired JT's Parts and Accessories, a differential and axle-focused parts manufacturer/distributor headquartered in Cashmere, Washington with a second facility in Atlanta, Georgia. The deal is the fifth add-on for DPI Off-Road since its partnership with Dubin Clark began in 2017 and expands DPI's product offering into differentials, axles and related drivetrain components.

Accudynamics Acquires DCG Precision Manufacturing

Accudynamics, a Makers Forward, LLC portfolio company, has acquired DCG Precision Manufacturing, LLC and will operate DCG as a subsidiary. The acquisition expands Accudynamics' precision machining capabilities—particularly Swiss machining and grinding—and adds capacity to serve aerospace, defense, medical, and other industrial customers while retaining DCG's existing employees and management.
