Burnout Brands (Hidden Harbor) Acquires Stake in BD Engine Brake (BD Diesel)

Burnout Brands, a portfolio company of Hidden Harbor Capital Partners, made a strategic investment in BD Engine Brake Inc. (BD Diesel), a British Columbia–based manufacturer and distributor of turbochargers, transmissions and performance diesel products. The deal is an add-on to build the Burnout Brands platform and the existing BD Diesel owners will retain an ownership stake; terms were not disclosed.

The transaction positions Burnout Brands as a platform for scaling performance auto aftermarket businesses; existing owners of Monster Transmission will retain an ownership stake and management will continue to run day-to-day operations.

BRS & Co., a New York-based private equity firm, has acquired Tolemar, LLC, a Huntington Beach, California-based manufacturer and supplier of branded and private-label accessories for UTVs, ATVs and motorcycles. The investment positions Tolemar to expand its product and distribution reach across direct-to-distributor and direct-to-consumer channels under brands including Trinity Racing, LA Choppers and Baron Custom Accessories.

(NYSE: HLLY) announced it acquired substantially all of the assets of Arizona Desert Shocks, Baer Brakes, Brothers Trucks, and Rocket Racing Wheels in Q4 2021 for approximately $56 million. The purchases expand Holley’s performance aftermarket product portfolio across suspension, braking, truck appearance and wheel categories to broaden capabilities and address new enthusiast end-markets.
