Caterpillar Inc. has acquired Enhanced Energy Group, Inc., which operates as CarbonPoint Solutions, a Rhode Island–based carbon capture technology company. The acquisition brings CarbonPoint's patented CO2 concentration and capture systems into Caterpillar's product portfolio to support emissions reduction across engines, turbines and industrial power applications.

Transcat Acquires Tangent Labs

Transcat, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRNS) purchased all of the stock of privately-held Tangent Labs, LLC effective December 31, 2021 for $9.0 million (subject to customary holdbacks). Tangent, founded in 1995 and headquartered in Indianapolis with an additional lab in Huntsville, Alabama, provides ISO/IEC 17025-accredited calibrations to life science, aerospace and other regulated industries and will be led by owner Kevin Broderick who joined Transcat after the sale.

Koch Engineered Solutions Acquires Sentient Energy

Koch Engineered Solutions (KES), a unit of Koch Industries, has acquired Sentient Energy, a provider of line sensors and grid analytics software. KES said the acquisition is the first step in building an intelligent electric grid platform that combines Sentient Energy’s Grid Analytics System with KES’s engineering and global scale to expand capabilities for electric distribution grid monitoring and analytics.

EnergySolutions Acquires Cabrera Services Inc.
