Metcash to Acquire Superior Food Group

Australian wholesaler Metcash has agreed to acquire Superior Food Group for up to A$412.3 million as part of three acquisition agreements totalling about A$558.5 million. Superior Food Group is a national foodservice distributor with 23 branches, an 80,000 sqm warehouse footprint and over 20,000 customers across quick-service restaurants, caterers, cafes, restaurants and hotels.

Bain Capital to Acquire York Holdings' Supermarket & Specialty Stores Business from Seven & i Holdings

Bain Capital has signed a definitive agreement to acquire York Holdings' headquarters and subsidiary management functions along with its supermarket and specialty store businesses (SST Business Group) from Seven & i Holdings. The SST group includes chains such as Ito-Yokado, York-Benimaru, Loft, Akachan Honpo, and Seven & i Food Systems (which operates Denny's). Bain said it will support operational growth, leverage its real estate expertise to enhance group-operated facilities, and may pursue an IPO of the business in the coming years.

SpartanNash Acquires Great Lakes Foods

Consco Foods Acquires Allied Food Distributors
