ZEISS Acquires Capture 3D

ZEISS Group has agreed to acquire Capture 3D, a US-based leading partner for GOM 3D non-contact measuring solutions, to strengthen its Industrial Quality & Research segment and expand national coverage in the United States. Capture 3D, headquartered in Santa Ana, California with ~100 employees and roughly $44 million in 2019 revenue, will join ZEISS' Industrial Quality Solutions business unit; financial terms were not disclosed and the deal is subject to regulatory approval.

Nauticus Robotics (NASDAQ: KITT) agreed to acquire 3D at Depth, a Colorado-based subsea LiDAR and inspection services provider, in an all-stock transaction valuing the deal at approximately $34 million (before adjustments) and assuming about $4.1 million of debt. The acquisition brings 3D's subsea laser LiDAR technology, data services, and patent portfolio to Nauticus, expanding its autonomous underwater capabilities and commercial addressable market in offshore energy and renewables.
