Incode Technologies, a San Francisco–based identity verification platform, has acquired MetaMap, a Silicon Valley identity verification and customer identity platform. The deal combines Incode's enterprise-scale AI identity orchestration and deepfake protection with MetaMap's data catalog and midmarket optimization capabilities to expand product functionality and market reach.

X2Engine Acquires Identifid

X2Engine, an enterprise open-source CRM company based in Redwood City, California, has acquired Identifid, a fraud prevention and identity-authentication technology firm. The acquisition adds Identifid's patented transaction-linking and biometric-based fraud prevention capabilities to X2Engine's product suite to serve clients in financial services, healthcare and other online transaction markets.

Unico Acquires OwnID

Brazilian identity network Unico has acquired OwnID, a U.S.-based startup that provides passkey-first, passwordless authentication and biometric login solutions. The deal strengthens Unico's passwordless authentication capabilities as it expands internationally; Unico processes ~25 million identity transactions per month while OwnID handles over 3.5 million authentications monthly and counts Nestlé, SAP, the NFL and Michael Kors among its clients.

The funding is intended to accelerate AuthenticID's automated AI-based identity proofing platform and support the next generation of digital identity solutions; Long Ridge's Jim Brown will join the company's board.
