Akamai Technologies has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire LayerX for approximately $205 million to advance its workforce security and AI usage control strategy. LayerX’s browser-based AI usage control technology will be integrated into Akamai’s Zero Trust security portfolio, with the deal expected to close in Q3 2026.
